Chris and Candace first saw each other during their freshmen year at Rutgers University but didn’t officially meet until sophomore year. It was at a party during their first week back on campus when their good friend, Jordan, invited Candace and her friends to a party at his suite with his roommates, including Chris (shoutout to #4405). With the ‘Watch the Throne’ album playing in the background,Candace and her friends greeted everyone. Candace made her way around the room saying hello, leaving Chris for last. When the two finally embraced, Candace will tell you that the hug lasted just a minute too long and from that moment, she knew it was something different. Over the next year, the two would get to know each other hanging out with friends and meeting up at Tillet, the dining hall, after their 11:10 a.m. classes. During junior year, the two would officially start dating and the rest is history! Over the last nine years, the two have graduated, gotten their first jobs… left their first jobs…, dated long-distance…dated no-distance, traveled together (even a quick trip to Paris) and enjoyed countless concerts, basketball games, and episodes of 90 Day Fiancé together. The two are looking forward to this next chapter of their lives together and are grateful to be celebrating with each of you!
